Yesterday was so much fun! I love the fact that so many of you seem to have caught the apron fever that I somehow contracted a couple of weeks ago. It’s extremely contagious isn’t it? From my communication with the sponsors of yesterday’s contests I can tell you assuredly how much they appreciate the feedback on their products. Lest you think I have any underlying motives in this whole bonanza I can assure you the only thing I’m getting out of this is the joy of spreading the word that aprons are back and (not to sound cliche’) but they are better than ever!

Carolyn’s Kitchen is one company that is set on bringing sexy back into the kitchen… When we were newlyweds we had been given a book (a book written by a Christian actually) called “Sex Begins in the Kitchen.” Well, I must be honest with you and tell you that we never did read this book. Not to get too off topic here but the fact is, I think that most young married couples don’t really need an awful lot of help figuring out the topic… All that to say that the aprons made by Carolyn at Carolyn’s Kitchen might just be giving me a better idea than the fly leaf of that book did on what the gist was… I could be wrong though since I never did read it.

“Designed and produced exclusively by Carolyn West in Los Angeles, California, Carolyn’s Kitchen aprons and glove sets are fun, sexy and all about feeling glamorous.”

Carolyn is queen of the whimsical Polka Dots and Stripes! Her vintage inspired aprons and matching embellished rubber glove sets really do bring a bygone era back into the everyday kitchen and they do so in vivid technicolor!

Her designs are flirty and fun and might just have the unthinkable power to make a woman feel sexy while accomplishing daily tasks… and if your modern man helps you out in the kitchen, perhaps Carolyn’s creations will make his job just a little less mundane as well! Good luck getting the dishes done!

Here are some of Carolyn’s designs:

Here we have Carolyn’s “Marilyn” line of aprons… We can probably quite safely assume that Marilyn Monroe was the inspiration here! This would make a super fun Bridal shower gift!
These aprons (one of Carolyn’s past designs) are called “Skater” aprons and they certainly remind me of the images we all have, even if we are too young to remember it ourselves, of the classic 1950’s drive up diners with girls on skates delivering burgers, french fries and milk shakes! Super cute!

The WINNER of this contest will receive their color choice (yellow, hot pink, orange, turquoise or lime green, pictured below) of Carolyn’s “Dorothy” line of aprons and matching embellished gloves.

  1. Hmm…these are so cute. I like the Orange Doroty, the Marilyn (hubby would definitely like this one) and the Candy Cane.
