She is planning to go to sleep real soon. But heck… it just got quiet here. I don’t want to go to sleep and waste all of this glorious silence!
I have so many pictures from before I got Photoshop that I have a seemingly endless supply of stuff to fiddle with. Tonight I played with a handful of pictures that I took last Summer during our time in California, as well as some from the beautiful drive back home.
Ever wondered what the Golden Gate would look like if it was really Golden?
I have always loved this picture of Alcatraz.
This is a beach somewhere in Oregon… I can’t remember which beach as we stopped at several.
Whenever I see this picture I always want to start belting out, “The hills are alive with the sound of muuuuuuusic… Ahhhaahhaahh… My heart wants to sing every song it hears, every song that it hears… My heart wants to skip with the… ” Oh er… sorry. Got carried away there.
Another picture I shot from Pier 39.
Houses and a boat somewhere in Marin County… I love houses with shingle sidings. It makes me want to eat clam chowder. And I hate clam chowder but shingle sided houses do things to me.
Another of my favorites pictures from that day in SF… You can tell it’s a favorite because I slapped a big ugly copyright watermark on it.
And as much as I like images that reflect reality, I do so love to manipulate images that otherwise really stink. This picture of Coit tower was incredibly boring, very poorly shot (is it any wonder? I shot it as we drove by!) Ugly, ugly, ugly. So I livened it up with some foggy cloud brushes that I created with other pictures that I took of actual clouds and I also applied a lighting effect filter. Sometimes I really don’t care if something looks totally doctored. It’s just fun to take it from pickin’ ugly to uh… well… something other than pickin’ ugly.
Well, that’s that and now I’m officially ready to zonk out. Have a blessed Lord’s Day tomorrow.
