Grandpas are the best, are they not?  Grandpa and Uncle Phil have been here for 10 days helping us and spending time with us and we have had a wonderful time together.  Grandpa has installed numerous pipes, faucets, sinks and a garbage disposal (he’s going to get a special place in heaven for that good deed, I’m just sure of it.)  Uncle Phil has been a huge help also, from washing dishes and sweeping the floor to helping Grandpa with the plumbing to doing Uncly things like giving piggy back rides to nephews… not to mention making me laugh my abs into shape (I wish.)

Grandpa’s one stipulation for this whole trip was that he get some very particular pictures taken with his grandsons and his grand-dog.  He reminded me about 17 times that this picture needed to be taken before he left the premises.  And I’m glad he pushed for them because… well, as you will very soon see, they are priceless.

Thanks for coming Grandpa and Uncle Phil.  We will miss you both so much!  We love you!!!

  2. Those are indeed priceless! They are very “Dad!” And it’s amazing how the boys all have their own “look!” Thanks for those!

  3. This is a fantastic series of pictures. You did a fantastic job preserving this memory for years to come. I know from experience that this type of shot is not all that easy to do well. The color, focus and composition is consistent from frame to frame, which makes it such an interesting series. Great job, and thank you for sharing!
