The three bigger boys and Daddy started Karate together a few weeks ago and they are all loving it. And they are all doing lots of knuckle push-ups. (By the way, I love that effect above, don’t you?) The classes are held just down the street at the local public school so they all wear their Gis and walk down the street and everyone who drives by thinks it’s just about the cutest thing. Either that or they wonder what all these people are doing walking down the street in their matching jammies.
And would you look at the strangely appropriate street signs we have in our neighborhood. Weird.
Little hammy there at the end doesn’t have his own Gi yet, a situation which he hopes is remedied soon. He is copying all of his brothers’ moves and is always telling me, “Mommy, wook. I made new Kawate techniques!”
Don’t they look sharp?
These kids are good at this. They love the challenge and with the exception of my five year old, they keep attention throughout the whole hour. It’s already doing wonders in the self-confidence and determination department.
And this guy has done more knuckle push-ups in his three sessions of karate than he has done in his whole life. He’s really enjoying the class and it’s neat that they all get to learn together.
Sharp as tacks! That is so cool.

Oh, my goodness! These are such fun pictures of your crew. #4 is especially cute. And the older three are sure growing up. Karate is good for all of them – Daddy too. He looks like he’s really getting into it.

Those are great photos. W. keeps showing us “moves” he’s learned from your #1 and #2 boys! Too bad we’re too far to join ya.
Nan,
Adorable…especially the facial expressions of your guys in picture #4. How did you change the first pic? It is really a cool effect.
Joe is hoping to start Medieval Martial Arts this fall…karate while wielding a sword. Every boys dream!

That is so GREAT!!! I’m glad they are getting to do that together! That is strange about the street sign…?!?! Are you going to make Cooper his own gis (is that how you spell it)?
Alaina and Bethany are now running around doing karate chops… And they asked why Auntie Nan wasn’t taking the class!
