Great way to help the kids start to understand action verbs: Grammar Says. It’s like Simon says but they do they action (or pretend to) whenever you say a verb. Whenever you say a noun they are supposed to freeze. It’s really hard and they have to think because when you say “dog” or “cat” or “dinosaur” they really want to act like one. Or when you say “Hair” they really want to point at their hair. But then you yell, “Hey! I didn’t tell you to POINT at your hair!” Just sharing how we made our lesson fun today. :^)
