We cannot know salvation until we know that the life we need is found only in a dying savior. Our salvation is in the confounding mathematics of Christ that to decrease is to increase, to lose is to gain, to die is to live. Minus equals plus. It goes against everything rational within us. We want to scream with the scoffers that He should show His power… Friends, he did. Nothing takes more strength than laying down your rights for something of ultimate glory. Jesus wins by losing.
